About Skylanders Giants
Skylanders Giants, the sequel to Skylanders Spyro’s Adventures, was officially released on the 21st of October 2012. Since the release date, the Skylanders Giants have become a much loved addition to any Skylanders collection. Kids have been eager to get their hands on one of these new, bigger Skylanders Giants. Owning a Skylanders Giant will not only potentially give kids a better gaming experience, it will also spark some jealous feelings between friends.
The Skylanders Giants game is an expansion to the original game which includes some new added features, of which the giant Skylanders Characters are the most noticeable. A Skylanders Giant is twice the size of a standard Skylander figure, both in-game as the physical Skylanders figures which are available for purchase. As Skylanders Giants is an expansion to the original game, there is no need to purchase a new Portal of Power if you already own one. If you are a returning Portal Master to Skyland, a Giants booster kit will include all you need in order to start the new game. A Skylanders Giants Booster Pack includes the Skylanders Giants software, one Skylanders Giant with a web-code, a trading card, one sticker sheet and a Skylanders Giants Poster. The story line behind the Skylanders Giants picks up where the original Skylanders game finished. The story explains that Skyland is still under attack by Koas, which means the Skylanders Figures will need some helped from the Giants in order to ban Koas and the invaders from Skylands for once and for all. In total there are eight new giants in the game, one for each element. The eight new Giants characters include Thumpback, Bouncer, Crusher, Swarm, Tree Rex, Eye Brawl, Hot Head and Ninjini.
